Awal karir Lee seung ki di mulai pada saat sekolah tinggi/SMA sebagai vokalis band. Bandnya ini sempat juga ditawarin untuk main disalah satu teater kecil di Daehagno. Selain menjadi vokalis, ia juga aktif dalam kegiatan kesiswaan dimana kala itu ia menjabat sebagai ketua siswa di Sang Gye High School.
Tahun 2013, Lee seung ki membintangi sebuah drama kolosal yang berjudul KangChi, The Beginning. Drama ini dibintanginya dengan aktris cantik Bae suzy. Tahun 2014 ini Lee Seung Ki akan kembalihadir dalam drama korea terbarunya yang berjudul "You’re All Surrounded" yang akan dibintanginya dengan aktris cantik Goo Ah Ra dan Cha Seung Won (Athena dan The Greatest Love). Drama ini akan tayang mulai tanggal 30 April 2014 di SBS.
